I’m still knitting that hooded cardigan. I’ve finished 2 sleeves, the back and half of the left front. I am starting to get bored and I can’t wait to get designing again.
In the meantime I’ve been working on some Etsy listings for Knit Chicks. Knit Chicks were my first toy design, the chicks are three inches tall and perfect for little hands, as you can see from the photo above. They make a great alternative or addition to Easter chocolates. They’re quick to knit and only use 40 yards of yarn. You’ll find the pattern for my Knit Chicks here and the free pattern for the Nest in the sidebar of this blog is the perfect size for a knit chick and a few mini eggs.
Because this was my first pattern I didn’t think about looking for a gap in the market. There are dozens of great Knitted Chick patterns by some great designers, many of them are free. Take a look at Rebecca Danger’s Chubby Chirps . I also love these Dotted Chickens by Susan B Anderson and Kat Lewinski’s Easter Peeps.
I can’t wait to show you this finished hooded cardi. Or maybe, I just can’t wait for it to be finished.
